Our History
In 1976 two brothers Royce and Owel Grissom came together with a dream. Both came from the heating and air conditioning industry. The brothers wanted to provide the Birmingham area with exceptional service and installations from people and a company customers could trust.
Providing commercial and residential service at a fair price and with the quality everyone expected was their goal. For many years they worked tirelessly earning the trust of their customers and bringing them the value of the money they spent with the Grissom bothers.
It wasn’t long until the Grissom brothers quickly out grew their original location and purchased the building where we are still located today on Powell Ave. S in the Avondale area of Birmingham.
Royce retired from the business in the 1990’s leaving his brother Owel to maintain and grow the business. Owel ran and grew the business until 2005 when he also decided to retire. Owel’s biggest reservation about retirement was to leave the business with someone who would continue carry on the traditions and trust both brothers had founded the business on and customers had come to trust in over all the years, some of which are still customers today.

In 2006 Anthony Crowe purchased Grissom Brother Service Company from Owel Grissom and today Grissom Service Company continues to provide exceptional service to their customers.
Many things remain the same as they always have. Exceptional service and installations are a couple as well as value for the work performed.
Today Grissom Service Company offers customers high quality service with well trained NATE certified technicians. We also offer service agreements and IAQ products for peace of mind. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer offering our customers the leader in heating and air conditioning equipment.
